  • Weddings, Fine Art, Portraiture, Sustainable Farming and more..

This client needed a new face on her web site. The quality of the images just didn't come through.  I used Visual Light Box, a very nice jQuery product, to allow high quality images to be rendered on several of her pages.

  • Lomi Lomi and Esalen Massage
    Polarity Therapy

Originally, this client's site was a freebie from Go Daddy - complete and resplendent with advertisements for Go Daddy.  What is in place now is a (recent) second iteration, using jQuery for overlays.
The client is happy with the new design, saying that it is very exotic.  And it should be — have you ever received a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage?

  • Community activist, teacher, papermaker, seamstress extraordinaire.

When she's not busy with community issues, Halle does amazing things with cloth and paper.  Her site initially consisted of a jpeg rendering of a newspaper article, sort of thrown up onto the web.  She now has a colorful and quirky site, that sort of reflects her joie de vivre.
    See it here.

  • Singer/Songwriter
    Band leader - Wild Unknown

Geno was having trouble getting his webmaster to update his site; in mid-May the home page still referenced an upcoming concert the previous January.  I took over the site, redesigned it, and keep it up-to-date.

  • Organic farming, honey, bees and equipment

Our Green Thumb Farm has gone through a number of iterations; their website initially was focused on Welsh Ponies.  While Linda and Neil still have a couple of these ponies, the website now represents their farm and volunteer activities, and their extraordinary honey.

  • Children's book, cards, prints, stickers

This was an interesting website for me - Rachel wrote a children's book and needed someone to build a website to showcase it.  And provide a link to PayPal for shopping cart functionality.  She gave me photoshop images of what she wanted done; I converted them into web pages.  It worked out well.

  • Twin Cities-based landscaping and gardening.

I took over maintaining this site in 2010.  Claudia and Monica needed a testimonials page set up, and better images to show off their work

  • John Roy's 3D montages of Americana.

You get on your motorcycle.  Head out on a secondary highway, not the interstate.  When you come across a beat up old car, truck, or building, take a bunch of pictures.  When you get back home, construct a 3D montage out of them.  Latest project: old cemeteries on the U.S. east coast.

  • Privately commissioned histories, public books, published articles

I took over maintenance of this site in 2010, and have added content related to private commissioned work, as well as interview content.

  • Photography blog — art, weddings, sustainable farming, portraiture, personal and professional.

  • Actor, director, stunt/fight director, video producer

Peter Moore is a Minneapolis-based actor who needed a web site for examples of his work, and his resumes.

  • Rock n' roll musician, singer, songwriter

This client had an unfinished web site, that had been in that state for a few years.  He was basically paying for hosting and a domain name, and not getting anything for his money.  He had a fellow "working on it" who never got around to working on it.  Taking what he had in place, I built a new site for him.

    html, javascript

  • Virtual assistant

This was a simple, easy-to-create site used to advertise the client's virtual assistant services.
    See the site here.

  • Nightclub singer, song writer, musician, actor

Jack made a transition a few years back from country western singer to nightclub singer — this change required a website facelift.

..because I'm Keith Jr.
Junk mail, getting AARP invitations when I was 32, confusion about passports, that sort of thing.  Still hasn't stopped, even though "Sr." passed away in 2005.  However, you can reach me (not dad) at
keith.not.keith@gmail.com.

So, what about me?
I build websites on the side.
My day job consists of web, Linux, Windows, SSL certificates, all sort of mixed together.  My first "on-the-side" project was a Lindy Hop non-profit organization - this turned into barter; I got free lessons, they got free web support.  ..which segues to:
I dance.
I started Middle Eastern folkdance in the late 80's.  In the early 90's started taking swing lessons.  A bit of Argentine Tango for the last 3+ years.
I'm a musician.
I've been playing guitar since I was 13.  Left-handed.  (And why not?  I'm self-taught.  BTW, dad was right-handed - NOT the same.)  Over the years I've acquired some really nice guitars.
We live 20 miles out of town.
The air smells good out here.  Laurie and I live on 17 acres outside of Stillwater, MN, with a few chickens here and there, 3 cats, and (at this time) 6 bee hives.  Man, have we got good honey.  As close as you can get to 'organic', given the circumstances.
